I need to paint boring white walls, Does anyone have any ideas? I need a very neutral color that will blend with about anything. The trim is oak, but I may paint that white. I am thinking I will have to go with a bright color. Does it need to paint the four well ???Thanks for any suggestions.
PAINT all the walls the same color. Usually, 1 out of 10 multi-colored walled room attempts, it comes out great. Otherwise they all look like a clown fun house. Too busy.
Try lookin at decors of West Elm. http://www.westelm.com
I hate their overpriced shit, and they go too far with the minimalist junk, but I do like the overall neutral earthy tone of their decor. Don’t buy thier crap, just take a look and get ideas.
o my dear!! i am not ignore your idea.here i give you and wwyypp the reply again! thank u for your idea .and your sugestions also useful . i will take your proper advises. hehe~don`t angree .take it easy!!!
If I have my own building ,I’ll paint it in many different color in different room,it can give u a nice mood.So if in bedroom U’d better not to choose blue it will make people feel sad, in dining room u can choose green ,it can make you have good appetite
Open up a magazine. Pick a page and stick to it. Biggest mistake in home decor by amateurs is mix and matching all types of shit from all types of sources, then you end up with turd collage.
Pick a paint color based on what you already have, such as furniture and accesories. Dur.
I agree with Deez on this point. Don’t make the mistake and just pick ANY colour. Browse through magazines or interior design books and pick a colour scheme that suits you. Choose colours for each room that match each other or you will end of with a clownhouse as someone mentioned before.
After having worked in interior design for a while now it seems like a pretty stupid question to ask on a forum. I don’t think we will be able to give a good answer as we neither know your rooms nor you and what you like or what furniture you have.
Another aspect to think of as well is the shade of the paint. It makes a big difference! A bit too much of one and it all looks wrong and doesn’t match with anything. Also, don’t make the mistake of chosing too bright and active colours! You will get tired of them very quickly.
