Footwear Production pics

Freshly back from China, visiting the factories making the new 2006 hummel football boots, I’m working on putting together a series following the production of football boots. If you are interested in knowing how football boots are made, from an exclusive inside perspective, check it out.

Ill be posting each part of the production process seperately. Lots of pics, and step-by-step descriptions.

I’ve also taken over 10hours of video in these factories and (when i get a chance to do some editing) will be soon putting up some clips as well.

As well, if you have any questions or comments about the process, post them here, and Ill try to answer them as best as possible.

Hey Richard! Welcome back!

thanks! sorry to “be away” for a while, but the end of the year is always crazy. big presentations for customers end of nov, then off to china for 2 weeks, then back in canada for 3 weeks on vacation!

hopefully ill be able to keep things more consistent in the new year!

lots more goodies coming up soon too, so check the site often.

i love your blogs.

and i just had to say that i really like the “from the crates” styles, i’d so wear them…can i ask why they were cancelled?

haha. thanks for the comments. i also loved lots of the cancelled styles. styles are usually cancelled as a result of meetings with sales, to reduce the line to help manage minimum quanitites and and a more commercial line.

some of my favorite stuff has been cancelled. good thing is i at least least get to keep the samples, and on some of it have made samples in my size!

…lots more good stuff “from the crates” coming…check back soon!
