Fashion Design Colleges in Cali

Hi,I have a friend from out of country who would like to come to callfornia for a degree in Fashion Design
what are good Fashion Design schools in California?
I would really appreciate it if someone can give me good feedback on this.

Acedemy of Art University (AAU) and California College of the Arts (CCA) both have fasion departments. Both these schools are well known for design and are both located in San Francisco. AAU is much less expensive than CCA and I have heard good things about there fasion department.

Otis college of art has a good fashion design program especially in costume design. FDIM is also repudably good.

However, the ones with the best reputations are not in California, sorry to say. The top fashion schools are:

  1. Parsons School of Design in NY
  2. FIT in NY
  3. Pratt Institute
  4. University of Cincinnati has a repudably strong program
  5. Syracuse University.
