I am supprised this type of thing doesn’t happen more often.
Mm
Who let their kid do this?
Come on, kids to dumb stuff all the time. What’s strange to me, is that in 40yrs, no-one thought to put an original 1.5 million dollar painting out of arms reach, or behind a simple pane of glass? I thought all the stuff on the walls were copies anyway, and the originals were in a vault somewhere.
In my opinion, that’s not the way to look at it! Go to virtually any museum, and the paintings, etc. are in full view/reach (the originals). Why should society be reacting to kids who don’t know where to draw the line in disrespectful behaviour… galleries shouldn’t have to put everything behind glass! The main issue is that kids should be taught to respect art, not that museums should be taught to lock things away!
