Those G class cars are horrible to drive.
They are like the old defender, people loved them, but they were so uncomfortable and terrible on the road.
At work we had a back to back dive of competitors cars and the G class was hated by everyone who drove it.

Just get a used one and enjoy it! Depreciation on these things means amazing deals on used ones and the batteries are lasting way longer than expected. But having tested the EX30 I can say the Ioniq 6 in limited trim is much nicer inside and much more practical with faster range and charging. The EX30 feels rather cheap and plasticy in comparison. It’s fast as heck though.

They are offering $25k off MSRP on the Polestar 4. Servicing will continue through Volvo. I actually have a few friends doubling down on Polestars and buying a second one.
Ford announced the name for its new affordable, smaller EV pickup truck. I’m really glad they are entering this product category and I think people will want this type of vehicle, but I could probably “Fathom” some better names 
Truck shaped car, with an open bed like a Baja. One commenter has it right I think, it’s a technology demonstrator or launch vehicle for the platform. Does not look off-roady.
Looks like it might be Maverick shape/size… I think the off-road comment is one I’ve seen a lot from replies, I have to say I’m not sure what the focus with being off-road cosplay ready is with folks? I just see all those lifted things as faux-verlanders. You don’t need that to go get groceries

I had a contractor at the house this week, he drove a last gen Honda Ridgeline. Seemed to make sense to me. Easier to get heavy tools and supplies in and out of a bed that’s normal height.
Just my take, I’m not the target demo by any means. 
I’ve never bought a pickup but if I did I’d want it to be a little 2 door, 2 seat, low and fast… I think I just described a coupe …
Or, get a Ford Bronco EV… anywhere but the US

If one never goes outside the urban environment its obvious they will only see the ‘cos-play’ pavement queens and assume that’s what all truck buyers intend. Everyone virtue-signals in some way. Nothing wrong with a truck-shaped car like a Ridgeline or this Fathom or Slate and for sure it meets the purposes of the guy or family that has to hit Home Depot once a month and absolutely they function well for contractors. But those aren’t really often or easily upgraded to off-road capability from what I see.

Portland today, I was behind this laughable Ford Bronco Raptor that someone put even wider tires on. This guy could barely stay in his lane, could only take turns at 5MPH or he would hit curbs. This guy is going to hurt someone or himself in this thing on the way to the Cheesecake Factory. A friend told me that a lot of trails (for cars) here are width limited so this wouldn’t even fit.
Side note, I’m taking care of my friend’s EV converted 1966 Beetle for a few months. No power steering, no power brakes, still has a functional manual transmission… not for the casual driver, you really need to be paying attention at all times.
