Easiest software for 3D modelling / concept rendering

I am studying design engineering.
Can anyone tell me what software to get for easy 3D rendering of conceptual products? I am not a whiz with ProEngineer and there must be easier ways to go about rendering when the tech specs offered by ProE are not necessary.

Any advice is highly appreciated.

Rhino.

For concept styling, try Pro/Concept eval version from the PTC website.
It’s a 3D version of pencil and sketchpad.
It’s possible to get surprisingly good results, fast - if you’re prepared to live with slightly scruffy models.
