I love my DC14…
Works like a charm.
But I agree, the DC16’s (hand held) battery life is too short.
Though, they do tell you before you purchase it…
“Up to 6 minutes of powerful cleaning.”
It’s right on the box.
And I understand the reason (to some extent). The thing just shuts down when you are no longer getting “optimum suction”. So, rather than fighting with a weak vacuum, you just vacuum faster.
AND it looks baddass.
lol, its sad but kinda satisfying to hear bugs go thunk into a vacuum…means its workin right?
not kidding, my mom has a kirby from 1980, and runs as good today as it did then. think the dyson will make it that long?
a local vacuum shop mentioned that vacuuming is simply cleaning the surface, not digging deep. if you push a vacuum into the carpet with force - you will kill the unit. maybe the world needs a vacuum that diggs deep, and doesnt die, while looking aesthetically pleasing.
