You can find that out by calling ECIAD, or by checking their website. North American universities/design schools usually are quite bureaucratic, but this may be okay because they don’t want to take a risk. Normally every foreign student has to take the TOEFL.
The only exception may be if your home university has a particular agreement that includes a TOEFL waiver if your home university facuilty are able and qualified to asses your English skills.
Grades or points have nothing to do with one’s ability to actually follow lectures or participate in discussions or writing papers.
So just get the TOEFL. It’s easy, and it’s online. If you don’t pass it, you shouldn’t go.

eciad just sent me a letter a couple of days ago saying that i am admitted under prevision and i have to send a final transcript
it does not say anything about toefl. so do i still have to take it?

What is your nationality?
If you are from English speaking country, you don’t need to take it. If that’s not the case, you may have to.

You may get out of the TOEFL test, if you have a degree and certain GPA from English speaking country.

You can simply contact the school’s international office.
