I have been working as a product designer for five years and had not much opportunity to do design projects that are inspired and pure. Most design projects become a compromise. Most projects are about business rather than what is best for society. So I thought I would start a project that can give idealistic designers an opportunity to inspire themselves and give their talents to the world.
The project is called “Designers for Change” and the goal come up with various designs for a donation display and to seek manufacturing partners to deploy them. I think there has to be a better design to inspire people to be connected to charities than a cardboard display that you put quarters into and then throw away after a couple uses.
