Designed for Survivability

I thought this was a pretty interesting article… I wish it went into more depth in regard to how the v-shaped hull made it safer for those inside.

Why can’t all cars be made to swap engines out in 1/2hr ???

survivability is a big deal in military ground vehicles nowadays… IEDs shock blasts will liquify the bones in your legs if a vehicle has a normal flat bottom and drives over one (if your feet are on the floor of course). A lot of the vehicle companies are working on survivability features in the crew areas to keep everybody safe now, V-hulls are just one obvious way.

The reason there might not be more pics is because they are usually very secretive - they only share a few google-able images and make you sign mountains of scary security forms. Plus a lot of those are competing fiercely for gov contracts
