Design KPI's

I’m wondering if anyone has set KPI’s for their design team. If so what have you done as a design leader?

I’ve been using the O/KR format for a couple of quarters to manage goals and break them down into manageable chunks. The Key Results are set with an eye toward the designers becoming 1) better designers, and 2) better employees/team-mates. Each of those require different competencies.
Each designer will have around four Objectives, with one or two KR’s apiece - so, a total of eight things to do.
I try to not let them get bogged in paperwork and checklists, its more a tool for myself to access during 1:1s and to ensure designers will meet their year-end targets, or ideally exceed them.
Not all the Objectives are ‘delivery’ based either; a few are dedicated to exclusively design activities, research, forecasting, and training/growth.

We had a good KPI discussion on this thread:

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE A GREAT DESIGN LEAD/MANAGER?

That’s great! Thanks for the response.
