Deadly design

As I’m always alert for design’s impact, I found this interesting:

He also denied that shrapnel caused her death, saying Bhutto was killed when she tried to duck back into the vehicle, and the shock waves from the blast knocked her head into a lever attached to the sunroof, fracturing her skull.

In other words, had the bomb-proof limo’s interior been designed with the idea of bodies being tossed about during an attack, Bhutto would still be alive today. Add this to your clip files of the impact of design!

Reminds me of the the number of pedestrian disembowelments attributed to old, rigidly fixed, hood ornaments; except that statistic was real.

Is the Pak government so simple-minded that they do not realize the self-incrimination that a lack of autopsy, and an honest accounting, suggests?

I predict a growing market for Fallout Shelters in the region.
