i call it the Dada Vinci… or “Da Champ”
on a more serious note…
the perforations in the toe box and outlining the picture panel on the upper are for breathability as well as a sort of hint to the holes da vinci (and other renaissance artists?) would poke into a preliminary sketch (see image!). charcoal powder would then be sifted through the holes and a rough outline of the drawing would be transferred to a new sheet/canvas/surface…
i was just having a bit of fun…
