back to the point - fake chrome.
Fendt used that to get a independent housing for the headlights so we could design the “Face” of the tractor, the good afordable lamps are mostly round and with round lamps you get a weak cute face. Square or oval lamps do not have the best light output. The number of Units don’t allow for custom Lamps.
On the other side “all” cars have fake Chrome in the Headlights around the actual light. Not that it is an excuse I know.
Its also a different story with Products you “touch” and Vehicles you see / drive … in the Cabin we would never use fake chrome because you are in reach / contact.
As a side note - in that field of comercial vehicle you can’t think in car manufacture “Number of units” its more like your local lawnmower company … so cost per piece is always a difficult thing.
