chrome shader in alias studio


I’m trying to render chrome in alias studio, but the result doesn’t look real.
So far I tried either to apply an environment pict in the reflexion map, or a ball file in the reflection map as well (with a color remap). But it still doesn’t look good.
Ratracer or raycaster doesn’t really change anything.
Do you have any advice to creater a nice chrome shader?

I’ve used ball reflection maps to good results for a long time. I’ve noticed that the image makes a big difference, as well as remaping the image to nearly black and white. Since the reflections are mapped, there will be no difference in the chrome between raycaster and raytracer.

Without a little more description, I can’t really help much more. Can you post a screen capture or define your problem more?
