Like Yo said, using CD for just aesthetics might be too much but I do find it quite interesting. In this case brought a brain-ish morphology but tweak parameters and it could bring some cool variants.

I don’t do much 3d rendering but this was one of my few tries, 10 yrs ago, crazy how time flies.
Modeled in solidworks, rendered in Vray. These were done mostly to try to nail down settings to get fast renders and to practice making my own textures from scratch. Quite a learning experience
Not bad, although those suffer from low samples which is why we do not see any texture detail.
I am currently working on a project involving fabric simulation and renderings. We are making use of the Keyshot Velvet shader which is quite impressive when tuned right.

Looks like I got to test some of those new render packages. Getting textiles right in CADused to be a major hassle.

LOL, I can see that. It is just the “6b pencil” in Procreate app. They do a really nice job with their stock tools.

That really looks great. What did you use to model the fabric? The way it falls and folds looks very natural.
