Anyone have any experiance in bio-degradable plastics? The market is large now for the use of these materials instead of ABS or Nylon products.
The corn based materials we are looking at have a high shrinkage rate and cause our moulder to create a new mould.

There are some interesting options with cellulose tenite. It doesn’t have a huge part of the market right now but it seems promising. A materials scientist at Syracuse university has been working on broadening it’s use more. I’m not sure how the price compares to corn based plastics though.
