I have heard exactly the opposite about Umea. I know graduates of Umea who now have have excellent jobs, e.g. in design research. There also exist “worst” students. The perceived quaity of a school is a function of the proper match between a school’s and a student’s profiles.
Many schools in Europe would be “bad” schools for immature students who need a lot of guidance and who wish to be entertained. Such an unqualified statement does not hint at a very mature individual.
I know that some people advertising Umea design imstitute all the time here. Some people who have relationship with Umea Design Institute make questions and answers accordinh to their plans. Umea Design University is also very important AD client for Core77!!
However, do not lie to people about Umea Design Institute!!!
This idiot is just confiming the point I made in my previous post.
Before I studied at Umea Design Institute, I had seen many articles on this school on famous design web sites, like core77. So, I thought Umea Design Institute could be the school, where I can learn so many things during my master study. When I was in Umea, I realised that Umea Design Institute has many relationship with media, so this school has used media for advetising Umea Design Institute. Also, some designers grasuating from that school have advertised this school indirectly here. Be careful!!! Umea design institute is the worst!!! Even in Sweden this school is rated on third stage.
sounds like someones a little bit bitter…
Maybe if you could justify your one sided opinions with facts as to WHY you consider it bad? Then maybe us as a board can start to take your views seriously…
as for CONSTRUCTIVE answers to the subjject in hand, check out the recent post from Business week
It should help…
good luck
