it looks really good except for your water surface, give it some wind ripples as right now it almost looks like they are floating in the air…
nice concept art. i really dig the playful illustration style of the people. very sci-fi dreaming 50s/60s style. great work.
wish i had the time to put into something like this. i dunno how you find time in your busy schedule.

Thanks man, that is kind of the feel I was going for… I’m still a long way off from where I would like to be with these, but I learned a lot by doing this one. I’d like to do another entry if I can get the time together… I have the idea and composition worked out a bit…

its very good, however you still need some wind rippling on the water the only places you see water that flat is in the dead sea…

Anyways, the square format sucks! But what can I do? Rules are rules. I am thinking of wide formats I use normally and compose them in collage… hm.

Well, this is my first post. I decided to give the futr wrld a shot and this is one of my renderings. It is pretty far off from being finished but I wanted some feed back. My idea is that we will, in the future, be able to harvest resources from other planets such as Mars. This is a large, mobile drilling platform.

maybe you can cheat and just letterbox it in black (or white) bars at the top and bottom?
