I was thinking I’d do a bachelors in ID. I already have the BSME and 5+ years experience. Good idea? Bad idea?

i have an aerospace degree + an ID degree. certainly didn’t spend 9 yrs studying ID!

Sending a resume rarely yieids a response in most careers, unless there is a dire shortage of people, as was the case in software engineering in the late 90’s.
If you’re serious about getting a job at a place like Ideo or Frog, you’ll need to get involved in the design community, meet people in those companies, and build a story behind yourself that is targeted to the right people.
Emailing or sending resumes is a black hole.
