I suspect a lot of people don’t make it to the Materials forum so wanted to post a link to something that most of you might be interested in:

Nothing, huh?

Lately, I’ve only used Quickparts since I can get an estimate immediately and they offer 2nd-day shipping. They offer a WaterClear option that is really amazing and very useful when the prototype needs to be perfectly clear. Not entirely sure how it works, but they come out looking great.

It’s strange how things have changed in the 6 years since I graduated. I mean, if I want something modeled pretty quick, it’s actually better for me to do it in CAD (but not to a tooling-ready precision) and have it CNC cut out of REN or 10lb density foam. I still hand-carve stuff from time to time, but when it’s intricate, I send it off to the machine shop. What do you guys do?

I added a poll to the post. Not the best way to do this, but better than nothing.
