The Core77 discussion board covers a wide range of topics, but AI sits awkwardly across all of them, it touches tools, practice, education, business, and culture simultaneously, which means conversations about it get scattered or don’t start at all.
A dedicated AI category would give those discussions a consistent home. Right now there isn’t an obvious place online where working designers are having a sustained, grounded conversation about AI. Not hype, not panic, just ongoing critical engagement from practitioners. Core77 is well-positioned historically to host that.
The audience is looking for use cases, application and paths through this new territory. The subject matter is already coming up. A category just gives it structure.

This is a Human Centered, Design Driven app that can not only act as a co-pilot for us, and a navigator for all of us. I don’t believe AI can generate design but it can provide the foundation for us based on my Psycho-Aesthetics that’s in two Harvard publications and a Wharton business book. there’s free access for college students and a trial for professionals available in just a few weeks. I believe this is where ID takes charge of AI because we’re not technology centric but Human centric.
