3D connexion on MacOS

I just started working somewhere that uses Macs. I tried to install my 3D connexion mouse, but it fails to recognize it. Has anyone had similar problems? It’s an old 3D mouse, could that be the issue?

My 3D Connexion SpaceExplorer is old and no longer supported, but I’ve never tried it on a Mac. Between the two systems and their upgrade schedules its probably aged-out.

Two updates:

  1. I switched my USB adaptor with a USB hub and now it works. No clue why.

  2. I unblocked 3D connexions software in the Mac OS settings and that unlocked all of the settings.
