15th International Bicycle Design Competition

Winner and nice critique on the “Cycling Satin Cesena” blog:

Interesting what had to be done to make a ‘working’ prototype and how much the wheelset contributed to the overall look.

The author of that article spent a lot more words than I would have used to say “its all bunk” but its well written nonetheless.

I think most of the entrants and winners of these “competitions” know next to nothing about how bicycles work. Maybe that’s a benefit.

It is a very polite article.

I’ve seen this advocated as part of the ‘blue ocean/ red ocean’ argument to get more people riding bikes.
