Re: RISD ID and employability

I haven't been on the board for at least a year but I'm pretty sure there was this conversation going on then, and probably a year before that too- and good to see the same alums (hi) responding. I think the department has definitely shifted slightly more to a middle ground since our time, just from...

Re: Back to mac event (Macbook air)

I owned a Gen1 macbook air, I loved it but upon getting an iphone I decided I didn't need it and sold it for the same price I bought it...try that on a dell. It was the sexiest laptop I've ever owned, this design is definitely rekindling the lust- well the 13" one is, the 11" one really is too netbo...

Re: What would you do if you didn't do what you do now?

park ranger / naturalist or something similar so I can be out in nature, hauling a chainsaw out opening up trails etc. I think I could only do this a short time as the creative forces in me would get antsy. I also still think about going back into architecture which is what I initially wanted to study

Re: One designer's review of the Local Motors Rally Fighter.

Good points Mike, don't have time for a long response but I have felt this design was fairly schizophrenic with lots going on, maybe an amalgamation of a couple people's designs.. I also was curious why this was the car Local Motors decided to make in support of their cause- a cool car concept, but ...

Re: 1HDC - LIVE!

Thanks for putting the contest together, you guys going to post any of the results on here? Doing it in group setting presented challenges in the time frame of 45+/- minutes, but was a great exercise- hope you can do it again. I saw some boards in the whirlwind roundup that I'd love to be able to ch...

you can hire an independent auditor, this is typically included in a royalty agreement. This would cost a lot of money, and would only be worthwhile if you were dealing with serious quantities and sums of money.

In general, you are relying on the honesty of your partner.

1. You think their design is bad...have you seen the website? http://consumer.wahl.com/ FAIL! 2. This thread is 3rd on google under the search, "wahl razors". I'm adding the term wahl clipper here to try to get us up on other terms. 3. It seems like they are a private company...I can't find investo...

Holy Hell that is a nice razor- authentic, timeless, austere and sexy. As a teen if I had that I would have actually made myself grow hair to shave... Meanwhile, how can we get back to something as clean and nice as this? incorporating newer materials, manufacturing, and shaver technologies. http://...

The cube has been around in Japan for over a decade, I remember seeing them on my first visit and loved the asymmetry and compactness. I prefer the older version's harder lines to the newer melted butter look of the version available in the US. I love those wheels in the first image by ip, so awesome.

Thought I'd follow up and say I sat in it at ICFF, not so comfortable at all. Thank core for giving this so much attention- it was over to the side at sixinch's booth and I wouldn't have even noticed it as a piece if I hadn't seen the post.

One would hope that the CNC comment it is simply an error in the press release, that happens all the time. Regarding the design, it reminds me of the 20 min mockups we would make to test ergonomics in school, however those had curved seating surfaces.... The design itself isn't very inspired in my o...
