Re: portfolio/website advice? help me plea(s)

It is not immediately clear that we need to click on 'Under construction' to get to your website, just make it something like 'Portfolio'. Even better is to finish the site as much as possible before asking feedback :) Your presentation style is a bit loud but I like your design work. You can be ve...

Re: portfolio/website advice? help me plea(s)

-I like the cover page with all of the sketches. It might be worth trying a page with the same images but static, as the animations are pretty intense. I imagine you will change the 'under construction' button to say work or folio or something. -I think you should get rid of the banner that just sa...

doodle recognition technology!

https://quickdraw.withgoogle.com/

not sure if this is on topic or nah, but it is a fun distraction you can also check what the ai sees & compare with other samples from users and try to either fool with the ai or do the correct drawing; especially with the sound on!

Re: Sharing your salary with coworkers

I've tried to be more open about my salary, even with co-workers. If asked, I will tell, but I don't volunteer it. The thing is that this information is that keeping it secret ONLY helps the employer . Maybe if the average worker was more open about it, we would have the kind of wage growth that we...

Re: 10 years out...What does your portfolio look like?

Thank you Michael. I really appreciate the response! Love the idea of visiting and networking through coffees and lunches!! I also love your advice on keeping concept projects high level. I always feel like I need to dig into the research and that takes a tremendous amount of time to be truly educa...

Re: Sketch-Fu: Men's Footwear

First day back to work in the Studio and first workout of the new training plan. 8x 400m hill repeats + 4k WU and 4k CD and a doodle done before 9.30 am. Thinking of hill specific training shoes with additional heel/toe drop and heel outriggers. R Untitled_Artwork 2.png i remember reading some time...

Re: Payless Shoes Marketing Stunt

...if they want those types of consumers maybe they should actually look at changing the context & experience(s) around their product? But they don't want that! They only want to send the message that they COULD do that if they CHOSE to - this is a jab at high end brands stating exactely that: the ...

Re: Payless Shoes Marketing Stunt

Rodrigo, you missed the point. There is no such thing overpriced, or underpriced, there is only price. And what the consumer will spend is entirely determined by the consumer. A $50 watch keeps the same time as a $5000 watch and can look exactly the same. Yet the $50 is considered a fake, ripoff. S...
