Re: Best portable pen tablet?

Some good suggestions. It'll be a while before we need this portable solution and I'll check out these products beforehand. I'd love to seem others' suggestions.

Best portable pen tablet?

Any suggestions for portable tablets to work off-site that's small enough for carrying in a backpack on flights, yet big enough to be decent? I'm thinking about pen tablets for drawing, not pen computers since we use laptops. Currently, at our desks we're using Wacom Cintiq 22" HD Touch screens for ...

Re: Super Bowl Car Ads

I agree, the KIA ad was good, but I'm very partial here. I am from West Point, GA / Lanett, AL area where this ad was filmed and where the factory is located. KIA coming to the area was an economic boost (obviously) and an emotional boost after folks were watching the historic foundation of the area...

That's super cool. Thanks for the link. I've put a hint in with my wife. Other designer stuff on her site as well.
I have worn a cuff (I think it's Navajo) I bought in Colorado many years ago.

I love my seiko 5, it's affordable and built like a tank, looses about a minute every month which for a mechanical at this price point is quite good.
Is that a cuff bracelet made from a metric scale? Pretty cool idea for a designer. Or, is it a regular scale to show size?

Re: Watch watch

I've been curious about designers' choices these days as well. The Seiko diver automatic was my main watch for 15+ years. Been through 3 rubber bands and a stainless band. Simple, functional, durable, no-fuss automatic movement, and it's been fishing and kayaking in many waters throughout the mid-we...

Re: Anybody else feel like this some days?

Re the first image, has anybody just ploughed ahead with what they thought was right and ignored the opposing feedback by higher ups? If so how did it go? Being an in-house designer, these higher ups would be my boss' boss (and his boss, etc.), so ignoring could be dangerous. When you get cut off i...

Re: various things like "ID I", "ID II", "jr.", "Staff"

iab, I agree and understand. I didn't mean "a lot of levels" as a bad thing and it makes sense when you divide it into grades.

Re: Fairly absurd ID posting for Amazon

A couple of years ago I was working with HR dept. to submit a posting for entry level I.D. and they pulled the I.D. job description they had on file and it clearly was IE, not ID. Sad, but true, and looks like the case here. I re-wrote the assoc., staff, and Sr. I.D. job descriptions for them.

Re: What are your other creative outlets?

Below is the freebie. Whenever my buddy and I rode together back in the late '80's, I was always envious of this bike. New saddle, tape, tires, cages, and tune is all I did. Fantastic! And you are a very tall person. :) Since you are in the midwest, I am throwing a shindig for Coppi's 100th birthda...

Re: What are your other creative outlets?

holy f***** s***. Been looking for ideas for an Eroica bike, this is a mother-lode. Thank you. But if you really want the mother lode, my friends Paolo and Marco have outstanding blogs. Paolo stopped posting a couple years ago to focus on his bike shop, but Marco still posts. Paolo's blog - http://...

Re: What are your other creative outlets?

I have an odd obsession with cycling. Love going for a ride. I enjoy hosting cycling events. I am also fascinated with vintage bicycles and racing, specifically anything prior to 1960 that's Italian. Here's about 5000 pictures as proof - https://www.flickr.com/photos/68123172@N03/albums No doubt I ...

What are your other creative outlets?

Curious what others here do with their time away from ID daily work. I should draw, paint and sketch more as a hobby, but as my main outlet, I find myself with guitar or mandolin instead of drawing pad.
