Re: Portfolio Critique

Hey Andy, Congratulations on graduation. Currently I'm in the same situation as you, but I feel I can give you some useful advice. What program did you use to generate the renders? The best program out there for creating the most realistic renders is Vray. To get the most out of the program you will...

Re: Euro 2016 football boots

Hello Matthew, I must say the quality of feedback here has been outstanding. I took a look at your website, very inspirational work. So how did you go from doing political science to product design? :) As for Sketchbook Pro, what a program. Tarenne Baptiste does a great job presenting work, he even ...

Re: Euro 2016 football boots

Hey Traftos, useful feedback, cheers. Thankfully, Photoshop has a liquify tool to alter the shapes to look more realistic. I've attached another sheet of sketches, starting to get the hand of Sketchbook Pro, it's excellent for product design sketches. Also attached as some logos and images to give a...

Re: Techwear fall fashion

Very good sketches. Did you use sketchbook pro by any chance? Personally, I would add some variation to the linework to add visual interest and some dynamism to the figures.

Euro 2016 football boots

Still a WIP, but Sketchbook Pro is second to none for product designers. As for the designs, the aim is to design football boots to celebrate the upcoming 2016 European Championships in France. Still have to finish these, but which design should I go with? __________________________________________ ...

Re: Much needed feedback on portfolio

Thanks for taking the time to respond and give by much needed advice, gentlemen. @nzakt: Good point regarding the watch hands positioning, it was something I wasn't aware of. You've given me a reason to try out another render. This seems like a seriously good website for product designers and makes ...

Re: Much needed feedback on portfolio

Hey E-Man, thanks for the feedback, very helpful. Originally I wanted to be a 3dartist in the games industry, but after returning back to college to get a level 8 in product design I've fallen back in love with the profession. After taking a good look through your website, your work is top rate and ...

Much needed feedback on portfolio

Greetings I'm new to these forums and it seems to be THE place for product designers. I'm a recent graduate and on the job hunt aiming to crack into the product design industry and in need of some advice on how to bolster and improve the portfolio.
