Re: brand finally launched!

Hi Yo,

What would you consider "exclusive progress"? Please elaborate.

As for tips, I wouldn't even know where to begin. Ask me something!

Re: brand finally launched!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all of your responses and support! It's definitely been a lot of work that I've done alone. Trying to get the word out there so thanks again!

salary/fee backfiring!

Hi Guys, Totally stressing here. Lately I've been looking for work. I've had a couple of job offers and I've accepted. However, when it comes time to discussing salary and/or freelance rates: it's totally backfiring on me. I realize that every company is not the same in terms of budgeting and what t...

proposal letter format

Hi All, Does anyone have a suggested format for a proposal letter or an example of one that could be shared on here? I've prepared a few freelance proposals in the past but this current one is a bit different. How would one prepare a proposal letter when the company prefers to pay as a package inste...

Illustrator brushes

Hi Guys,

I have just acquired some already made brushes; the brushes are about 20 to a page. How do I import them into Illustrator so that no matter what .ai file I open, I will be able to access them easily?

Thanks!

Re: Sketch-Fu: Womens (Footwear)

It's really nice to see some womens dress on here! dziner82: your sketches are brilliant, i think you did a great job. I'd really like to improve my sketching but it's always really tough to get feedback or tips. I'd like to give this a more realistic feel to it, maybe add some more dimension but am...

Re: photoshop/ illustrator textures

Hi Homies... Generally I've always filled a shape with a pattern in Illustrator (cs3) and then shaded it in Photoshop or just made a gradient. However, I'm looking to shade and form the pattern within Illustrator and this envelope distort method looks very interesting. I followed SKINNY'S advice but...

I used to play hockey when I was younger, the skates were cool and simple back then. I do like those Supra one's though.

Guide for freelance rates

I found some great articles on how to figure out what one would charge for freelance/consultant gigs. When I was first trying to figure this out, I had a really tough time so I thought these would be helpful for those of you needing guidelines or advice. http://procnew.com/freelance-consulting-rates...

This was a bic ballpoint on copy paper. I then photocopied it to prevent the lines from smudging. Marker, white pencil, red pencil, and white, red, and blue chalks on top.

I'm sure you already know about the new Sharpie pen but if not, it's great. No smudging or bleed.

Nice. I like the Jordan Flight 45. Diggin' the hot pink fade on the midsole. Nice upper pattern also and like the mix of pebble grain w/the patent. Trendy and Junior-y.

Re: Heel-less shoes?

Shoenista's right. Been around for quite a while now however, they're big for the next coming up seasons. I think out of everyone who's done it; Moschino has done it right 2009/10 with a sleek wedge, an oversized insole overlapping the platform and peep toe. The orange one is just adorable. see pic.
