Re: doodling

I am moving, thus I have not had a table so been sketching on my lap with a clip board. This has forced me to try a different/ modified style, trying to capture proportions and shapes/ graphics, also playing with some line activity Fun stuff!!

Re: Graduate Furniture Design or ID programs for me

MinuteMan no Microstation 3D these days, they seem to have caught up to the times finally :) As long as the faculty sticks around the program has amazing potential

Re: Graduate Furniture Design or ID programs for me

Also may want to look at UIC/ University of Illinois Chicago just tossing out the suggestion (Even though I am recent grad, with many opinions on the program ;) ) Pretty much all the faculty have there own furniture line and furniture or object driven studios. All are young, extremely experienced an...

Re: Sketch-Fu: Men's Footwear

Y3 sandal ideas, I am thinking an asymmetrical strap system upfront, with the heal strap being interwoven and made out of an elastic see-through mesh. On top of a slimmed down boost sole (Really digging how Y-3 has been using the boost). I might have to take these ideas to the next level, get into C...

Killer commuter Bengt! You got me looking for a frame now, this could look cool with the right rack set up (I know maybe a bit crazy with the frame) ;)

Re: doodling

Thanks Yo, really appreciate it. I am really trying to focus on "capturing" shadow shapes lights and darks to bring a bit more of a graphic approach, to some forms also working on looser/ livelier lines. Trying to channel a bit of Kim Wu's style ;)

Re: what's your favorite ID firm?

I will agree with Aaron on the Artefact inclusion. As a student I very much appreciated their very distinct opinion and approach to technology and design. They have quite a bit of process up on a few projects. I would always reference this as well as their blog posts. Very inspiring stuff

Re: Panicking...

Bump to what bepster said I am in the same boat to some extent as a fresh graduate. I very much understand your concerns. The hiring in this industry is a bit goofy yes but it is detrimental to put to much stock in what is happening to other people. Use this time to your advantage if you can, maybe ...

Re: Medical Device Projects for a Design Student

Aaron, I just want to echo what everyone else said and defiantly go through with the medical project. I just finished up a self directed medical project for my folio and it was a great experience and it has gotten good feedback as well. I would advise though to be weary of specific medication focuse...

Know anything about Feevale in Brazil

Does any body have any knowledge of Feevale in Brazil, possibly looking at doing a few summer courses there, was curious if anyone had any insight? Thanks so much
