Had it for four years now and has done numerous prototypes. Rough but does the job. They list on ebay...

Re: Oh boy...

My best suggestion is ask a lawyer, or to post on some legal forums as well. My thoughts don't amount to anything you should use! :)

Re: So how do you resassure yourself of your work's uniquene

Where does your 70% come from? From your article: "To this end, IPRs have already provided a game-changing impact for businesses being accused of infringing a questionable patent — with challengers winning over 70 percent of the final decisions." But here are some other sources. http://www.mintz.co...

Re: So how do you resassure yourself of your work's uniquene

The final stage is the one that matters, no? 70% of challengers prevail. If you sue me for infringing a certain claims in your patent, those are the claims I am going to challenge. I don't need to challenge all remaining claims. So judging the statistics about what percentage of the barricade remain...

Re: So how do you resassure yourself of your work's uniquene

The way I read the article that you provided: Congressional reports stated that the new validity challenge procedures of the AIA were put in place in order to allow bad patents (i.e., invalid patents) that were mistakenly issued by the USPTO to be addressed early and efficiently. To this end, IPRs h...

Re: So how do you resassure yourself of your work's uniquene

92% of patent challenges for re-examination are accepted by the USPTO. If you pay them money, the USPTO will re-examine most anything. Of those re-examined, what percentage was invalidated, what percentage had substantial changes to the claims and what percentage had insignificant changes to the cl...

Re: So how do you resassure yourself of your work's uniquene

A. Correct. B. "False confidence." - Incorrect. My IP has been successfully defended 100% of the time. I hope your track record continues unabated. Let me re-phrase. The vast majority of patent holders have a false sense of confidence given to them by an inadequate examination system. 92% of patent...

Re: So how do you resassure yourself of your work's uniquene

An IP search. An examiner narrowing claims. A. Impossible to search all IP. Everything recorded, including 1936 Mickey Mouse cartoons counts as IP. B. Examiners spend an average of twelve hours to search only the records of the US patent system and disregard the rest of human history. Your determin...

Re: [DELETED]

You can't patent after you release it. In the US you have one year after public disclosure in which to file an application. The rest of the world you have to file before release. If one discloses his or her own work more than 1 year before the filing of the patent application, that person is barred...

Re: [DELETED]

I did not see the original post. Sounds from the response that a few people that saw it agree that it has merit, that is cool. Great ideas are best shared once you are really ready to capitalize on them. However, I urge strong caution on the patenting advice. It is a lottery ticket mentality that di...

Re: New core77 UI

I mentioned above, the style is visually very good now. The text fade is enticing. I read the descriptions and click through to the articles. Oddly it feels as though the articles have gotten better because I can see so much in one glance.
