Re: HOW MANY TIMES CAN YOU BE SHOT DOWN?

Without full context of your difficulties, it is hard to make a call on this. But my experiences says that when change is ready to happen it will. So you got rejected, if you have an industry job now you were very likely rejected a few too many times before. So why so frustrated at this time? You ob...

Re: Newly Released Work (All Product Types)

Here are some of the development process I used to create the final shape. There were also a lot of 3d model revs and prints to get it to were it is now. I am also including some close up pictures from a sample on my desk so you can see the texture and curve of the handle. The initial idea came from...

Re: Newly Released Work (All Product Types)

I can't find one. I was looking around the web not sure where they are being sold. Or even the exact name they launched under. What were your questions I can probably show work to explain it more?

Re: Newly Released Work (All Product Types)

I also was busy with this project. The elite speed rope. It has an innovative grip that allows for the fingers to come closer to the center of axis for the highest level of control. I added some initial renderings to help explain the shape of the handle and highlight some of the details.

Re: 4 interviews, same feedback

I would not worry to much getting rejected a few times. It some times takes a number of interviews to find the right place for you. I think it was maybe 10 interviews for me to get my first full time position. With that said I would consider countuine work on your portfolio. As mentioned it is not a...

Re: Looking for I.D. work in Los Angeles

I currently work in ID in LA. There is a lot of work here. especially if you go as far south as Orange County. The corporate companies I can think of off the top of my head are Fox, Hurley, Oakley, La Jolla Group, Nike Lincessce Group, Auto Manufactures, Metal Militia, Safariland and most major golf...

Re: Will AI Take our jobs

I am a big fan of Issac Asimov. He has addressed many of these concerns with his I-robot series. I believe AI will be able to create something, just don't believe it will be really creative. Maybe one day it will be but I just don't see it. Becuase unlike anything we can build the human brain is org...

Re: Will AI Take our jobs

I feel pretty safe. I truly don't see a time when AI could do what we do. We synthesize to many data points to create the work that we do. We make connections that seem logical after they have been made. But before that, no one put the pieces togather. There is also the problem with aesthetics AI wi...

Re: Newly Released Work (All Product Types)

This is a new batting glove line I worked on, that is coming out this year. Debuted at the Allstar game. Really was a great project and I will have more pics and work to come. Borrowed this pic from What Pros Wear. It was very exciting to see products on the field in such a large event.

Re: 10 years out...What does your portfolio look like?

Thanks gain for the input I will gear around a projected presentation. I had that very embarrassing situation happen to me. I got a schedule for the interview, who I would meet with and when. So I came prepared to present to 1 or 2 people at a time. When I showed up they had changed the plan and I w...

Re: 10 years out...What does your portfolio look like?

I also appreciate all of your feedback. Not to highjack the thread too much but I had one question. What media do you guys use to present your portfolios? I have been using an Ipad. Mostly because it allows me a lot of flexibility in what I want to present.
