Re: Best Movie Quotes You Actually Use Frequently

"The first rule of [blank] is you do not talk about [blank]. The second rule of [blank] is you do not talk about [blank]!"

I threw that out in a work meeting, the boss didn't find it so humorous.

Re: What do yins drink?

Should the 7 and 7 be the official drink of C77? It would require, or perhaps solicit, corporate sponsorship...

Re: What do yins drink?

take any beer that isn't already too complex, any old generic, but still sippable beer that you prefer, add a shot of well whiskey or even halfway decent whiskey (don't waste your money or the quality of a nice whiskey), and viola... you have a boilermaker. This sounds delicious, I'm going to try t...

Re: What do yins drink?

I've only heard "yins" from Pennsylvania Dutch dialect. I was recently speaking with a linguistics professor at UT who verified the origin. Are you from up that way? Funny to see this thread resurface from the depths of last year. Yea, Pittsburgh actually. Not originally though. It's part of the lo...

Re: The new Volvo

I believe they are DRL's, the new XC60 has similar ones. I can't figure out the headlights, I like most of the car, but the headlights just don't make sense to me. The really annoying thing is I can't figure out why. They're not as taught and sporty looking as other current Volvos are (C30, XC60) fo...

Personally my jury is still out on this one, but I'm interested to hear your opinions.

Like the windows on the old Ford Explorers that would shatter if opened incorrectly (or correctly  ) at speed!

Re: New Toyota car, the FT-86

This is kind of a love it or hate it design, except I find myself loving and hating different individual parts of it. I agree that it really does look like different designers worked on it, in the dark of what the others were doing. What do you all think of the zippers on the dash, and the radio but...

Re: Musicians & Musical Instruments

I've been playing guitar since... 3rd or 4th grade, so that means 13 or 14 years now? One of my senior projects was to design and build a guitar, which expanded into two guitars and an amplifier: http://www.russellsinger.com/portfolio/mason/mason.html (My website is outdated by about 8 months FYI......

Re: Microsoft Courier Tablet concept - showing shoe design

That looks pretty sweet! I want one. The biggest problem with Microsoft is that for the most part their hardware engineering never matches up with their software, which is where the instability comes from. Apple on the other hand does both, and doesn't have to worry about 3rd party companies mucking...

Re: Nice little detail on a mass produced car

The detail I'm liking there is the crease that runs from the taillight, angles down, under the plate, and across. The 3rd brake light could have just replaced the chrome strip in my opinion, instead of going above it. Where the new Fusion really shines is the front fascia, best looking thing to come...

Re: Frankfurt show

I can't get over that Audi, it is very unlike them. I feel like if you placed it next to an R8 it would look like a kit car Lambo sitting next to a real Countach. There are so many things wrong with the detail work, each by itself might seem like nitpicking, but all together they're kind of unignora...

Re: Another design crime?

It looks a bit like a wolf spider, a sad wolf spider. The first thing I notice is how cramped that small headlamp looks. They placed it very awkwardly on the bevel that runs over the wheel arch and down the side of the car, with no breathing room. That plane itself is kind of awkward too, they creat...

Re: How are internships doing, despite the economy?

Internships are still around. What I noticed after graduating is that a lot of graduating seniors took internships at companies where juniors would usually work, so the competition is a bit tougher. That may change by the time next summer comes around. You can make some good contacts with an interns...

I'm not entirely sure of what you're asking, but it made me think of this:

It has no clearly defined head. Hilariously cute too.
