Re: iPAD2 COVER

I was instantly thinking about the emotional design thread people were commenting on yesterday, as I instantly felt the wow factor with that one! How nicely executed is the snap on hinge? reminds me of the brilliant idea on my macbook pro of the magnetic power cable and the new unibody magnetic case...

Re: doodling

Dreaming about riding to work in some great weather. This mornings warm up.

BTW love that portrait sketch, especially the contrast in the glasses.

Apologies for the chicken scratch elipses... still working on those :)

Re: Astrum Meera - Concept Car

I like the idea of the car, the complete design seems a little off. The sharp edges on the headlights, rear and grilles make the car look like it was designed by two different people. I would take this platform and throw a little more style into it!

Re: Let's Talk Kickstarter

Thanks for the link Chris, I had a look and my understanding is that once you have acquired your initial pledge goal, the rest is gravy :)

Re: Let's Talk Kickstarter

HAHA I had no idea what a GILF was... wow. Jon, aren't they pre-purchases though? would the extra funds get put towards costs of break even? then be profits? Does anyone see any legal IP implications with this setup? Its a very inspiring way to get ideas out there without having to beg/borrow for th...

Re: doodling

I found a blank sheet of paper whilst in a meeting. I find I am a better listener if I am drawing at the same time. Anyone else?

Re: 2011 VW Jetta Ad

Just saw the ad. I really like the direction with all of Volkswagens 2011 range with the new grille/light interaction. The proportions are stretched out nicely and its a great cheap A4!

why not?

Re: Design crimes: car edition

For a car that they are trying to percieve as powerful and urban, the skinny headlights at the front really just put the whole car into confusion. It seems like they were trying to tick WAY too many boxes for this concept. That 30-something male seems quite complicated. It would have been great from...

Re: Someone stole my design!

Rafael, I do not think you are fully understanding the community voice. You are liberally using the word "copy" when talking about anothers design WITHOUT substantial proof of their plagiarism. You seem to be very apologetic with continuous use of words like "sorry" as a veil to push your underlying...

Jellet: I really like your style, its nice and loose! awesome. How long would those take?

Sam: I like the line weight of your sketches, the contrast is really making it all pop. The bubbles are cool!

I was trying to loosen up a bit with this and gave myself a time limit.

Re: Aesthetically "massaging" a general aviation aircraft -H

This may help, have a look at animals that have the features you are looking for. They may provide inspiration for your concept. Generally as well, the sketch a lot theory is more of a shot gun approach for ideas. You then refine into smaller more detailed concepts.

Re: Design crimes: car edition

Seriously...so ...why don't you post your solution to this design crime?... This is not MY solution, but what I feel are good examples to where Ssang Yong should be heading. Was not the point of the company to take the MERC engines and shell them into an affordable solution? I think that in their p...
