Re: Vehicles spotted in your neighborhood

The red microcar was in Oslo. It's Electric and there were tons of them on the streets. Not sure if it's a car sharing thing, or a private car. that microcar is amazing! seriously, i challenge any other car to drive down the street and evoke as many smiles on peoples faces as this thing would in th...

Re: 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata

im not crazy for it but as Yo said, need to see it in person. I was really anxious to see this car. the rear end lights look like and angry robot and also a lesser version of the new Jag F-type rear end design to me. Also, Why does the miata always sit on an island as far as design language at mazda...

Re: Furniture Inspired Footwear - ON GOING PROJECT

late to the party here, have read 80% of all of the responses.... i agree that i dont get why you are using wood, other than wood is used in eames lounge chair so that = validity. for the designs you are looking at you can use leather to give 90% the same look and its probably a better material for ...

Re: Furniture Inspired Footwear - ON GOING PROJECT

It's all been done. The concept for that shoe was inspired by a purse by Isaac Mizrahi. What matters is what you bring to it? How will you advance it? Don't give up, make it new. agreed! not sure ive seen a shoe yet that didn't borrow a few things from other concepts or other shoes in general. typi...

Re: Vehicles spotted in your neighborhood

Pics from the Euro Hangar car show in Holland, MI. Was a big show, at least 300 cars. i would say 50% of then were 'stance nation' which is an interesting novelty but i didnt take any pics of those cars, only snapped some pics of the ones i thought were nice or interesting. also added in a couple of...

Re: Vehicles spotted in your neighborhood

The Yaris seems like the worst car to make fast. To me I guess that's part of the appeal, it's different, something unexpected. I autocross with this guy, he's a buddy of mine. its a pretty sweet autocross car which is what he has it tuned for, the tiny wheelbase makes me jealous.... he has upgrade...

Re: Greatest wheels

Im partial to the late 90's MB AMG monoblocks, part of what made me want the car.... though not sure what it says that i eventually replaced the wheels. the ones on my car had some rash and issues with the polished lips. was gonna upgrade to the 18" version from the E55 amg as the car in this photo,...

Re: Greatest wheels

The Torq-thrust's we're going to be my suggestion...but for diversity sake I also love the M parallels. There's very few BMW's that they don't look good on, even dating back to the old E30's. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v359/mjcarrer/bmw2/IMG_5798.jpg yes these wheels look amazing...especiall...

Awesome Mazda i saw at autocross last month, i have never seen such an old mazda from that japanese musclecar inspired era in such good shape. loved seeing the genesis of their new grille graphic. it looks so modern on this car.

Re: Newly released work (footwear and softgoods)

Ifmemory serves me correct this was the original "sketch render" for the collection, the other 3 shoes were based off the language that was in this original design.

Re: Newly released work (footwear and softgoods)

hey all, haven't been around the forum much lately... too busy. glad to see this thread still kicking, so i'll add some shameless self promotion as well. these shoes were based on an outsole/last that was developed for trail running, but i designed these womens uppers to blur the line between perfor...

Re: Sketch-Fu: Men's Footwear

great stuff Evan, love the look your creating there. following the CAT brand aesthetic but new and fresh. only thing i can critique you on is the eyestay area of the rendering looks like its missing something, maybe a stitch to finish the raw edge or some shading to show the leather undulating over ...
