That is very very cool. I'm gonna have to take this into 3D and see what I can come up with!

Re: Oh, it's the new Kia Bits-of-BMW-3-5-7-series..

I actually thought the Korean car makers had moved past copying others and were starting to develop their own identities and unique designs, then Kia comes along to prove me wrong by launching the Kia K9.. to my eyes a blatant rip-off of BMW design language. http://www.caradvice.com.au/160836/kia-k...

Re: ID from Australia (Issuu)

Thanks for all the views so far, people. (And thanks again Lowe9)

It's nice to know that some people are looking at my work. I'd love some more feedback, particularly from hiring types! Anything at all helps.

Thanks in advance,
Ed

Re: Colour selection in Design

Hey DP, There is HEAPS of research and work done on this subject. I actually did a subject at uni of 'colour studies'. It was an interior design course but still relevant to ID. You might find it hard to do something new or be innovative here...if this is for a thesis? But to answer your questions: ...

Re: Does Digital Art Hold Value?

On a related note. SFMOMA added two 3 dimensional pieces to the collection last year that where both made from RP processes. In one instance the creator destroyed the digital file. In the second, the creator handed the file over and insisted that if the SLA ever yellowed, another be printed. To say...

Re: Portfolio with experience

Seems like a solid suggestion from your friend. If the work you've been doing is more about realisation of products rather than conceptual, then show how many things you have successfully brought to market as possible! I thought as you got a little older you would rely more on personal recommendatio...

Re: Does Digital Art Hold Value?

i feel the same way as you, ip. If I see some digital art that's beautiful, i will download it and make it my desktop...I think it's basically valueless. Is it to do with transparency, and KNOWING that it is just pixels pushed around with photoshop? Is it the attitude of "oh i could do that"? I unde...

Re: ID from Australia (Issuu)

Thanks Andrew! It's great to get some feedback! Echoing what you said in your topic, it's easy to get tunnel vision isn't it? You're right on the 'get a webpage and host the PDF' front... I need to learn a little more about webdev, then get onto that very soon. I found it really hard to think of the...
