Re: AirPods...Discuss

There should at least be the possibility to have a "string" between the two. Similar to may bluetooth airbuds today. I don't need the airbuds to be separate from each other, I just don't want the wire between my phone and the headset. What I want is something like this that also can be recharged qui...

What is a valid Location (in user profile)?

Ok, I was going to comment on this article (http://www.core77.com/posts/53116/A-Convertible-Bike-Seat-To-Scare-Off-Thieves#) as I don't believe the product serves a meaningful purpose. It will only stop someone on their way home from the pub looking for a ride (a lock does so too and doesn't leave w...

Re: What cell phone do you own?

Still on the iPhone 4! It's slow, but still works and only need a recharge every 24 hours with normal use (last longer if used only as a phone/texting device). What can I say.. the longer I've kept it the more pointless it seems to waste money (and the environment) on a new phone. My goal is to keep...

Re: Suitcase concept

Not 100% what's the definition of "checked suitcase", but from the guesstimated size of this I assume it is meant to also be used as cabin luggage on planes? My first thought: Given the physical restrictions for cabin luggage a design like this means wasted space (the empty space caused be placing t...

Re: Objective Form Development

YO has good points, you must define what is "right" (what you're going for) in order to have something to judge your design by. This should not only be words, but also visuals (moodboards/image boards/collages... many names for basically the same thing). Your post reminded me of this article on core...

Re: Bug in article posts crashes Firefox & BSOD

Similar, or related(?), issue with Firefox and scripts for me too. If I leave an article open for a while a script on the page will go wild and I get a pop-up window asking if I want to debug, stop the script or let the script continue to run ( "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stop...

Whenever I try to post in a thread I get this message:
"The forum you selected does not exist."
after having logged in, and then have to navigate back to the thread (unless I'm already logged in).

Re: New core77 UI

What I've noticed with the new design after some more use is that it has changed the way I use Core77. I now tend to go straight to the forum and have started to ignore the front page. The front page makes everything into "just graphic elements" and I scroll through it without anything standing out ...

Re: New core77 UI

To me the design seems to be optimised for phones and tablets and then forced onto desktop (like win 8 ), but I hardly ever read Core77 anywhere else than on my work computer. I can live with the design, but don't like it much... What I really would like to see changed back the old is to have "last ...

Re: Are designers offended by the term "stylist"?

...but I do take pride in creating products that are desirable. To create a desirable product, it has to function well and be visually appealing. This still sounds like more than 'just' a stylist to me. I wouldn't mind being called a stylist if that was the job I was hired to do. As I'm an industri...

Re: AUDI new design language

Fair enough lmo, but I'm still pretty sure that in this case they choose to use blue (often called electric blue, hadn't thought about the name until now actually) as an accent colour because the car is electric (and others have used it like this before).

Re: AUDI new design language

@IDAL I agree, I also associate blue with technology. I actually mentioned this to our “eco-guy” at work who said he felt there was a change towards blue from green, but in general blue has been associated more with sustainability and technological optimism (as a way to solve the issues with the env...

Re: AUDI new design language

Slightly off topic, but regarding the BMW: funny how blue seems to have become the colour of environmental cars? The first one I can remember to do this was VW with their blue line (these weren’t electric, but were models with lower consumption). Both Toyota (hybrids) and Nissan (electric) have adop...

Haven't been there myself, but if I went to Munich and had the time I would check out the Olympic Stadium just based on its reputation.
