Re: New mouse

do any of you guys with Gaming mice use the on-the-go resolution adjustment that many of them seem to have? Seems like a good idea for outline tracing in Pshop (for example).

Benny, does the cloven hoof design of the Razer work well ergonomically? Good to see it has a wire/bluetooth option.

.. how is that different than the last 2 decades of home computers? At least they are getting smaller and more keepable. I gave my old lap top to my wife, she gave her old one to my mom... and so on. Anything we can't give away we donate to non-profits. Doesn't have to go to the landfill if it can ...

Re: xBox and Mac Mini released today

Reading the specs on the Apple site it turns out the Mac Mini is machined from a single unibody piece of aly - which is simultaneously wonderful and scary at the same time : scary in that for each one made, as far as I can tell, about 20 times the volume of material used in the finished product will...

Thanks for the link..
My tablet's not up to the job either (I need to stop being cheap and get me a wacom) .. or my laptop it seems - a Dell M6400, which is running slower with this app than any other.

Feelings so far - mixed, though this might well be down to the tablet issue.

Autodesk Alias Sketch 2011

Has anyone used this? - it claims to be a fusion of Illustrator and Photoshop capabilities - which sounds exciting ..
unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a trial available.

If anyone's tried this - can you share your first impressions?

Re: Solidthinking - never heard of it, is it a serious tool?

Solidthinking has been around for a while.. I remember everyone talking about how it was going to take over the world in around 2002. Still doesn't seem to have made a huge noise in the industry. Now this could be due to many reasons - poor marketing (there are many excellent products that just have...

Looks like the Commodore 64 grew up. got older and uglier at least, not sure about grew up.. :) I'm sure that there's a market for both those keyboards, especially the Eee, but they're both missed opportunities, classic 'horses that could run faster' trapped in a 30 year old paradigm : If it's port...

You're certainly not alone - I'd identify with most of what you said.
I think it's easier to let go when you're part of a big chain of responsibility, but when it's your own 'baby', you can't escape the high standards you hold yourself to.

Re: Why you can't work at work

.. but I like to wear headphones without listening to music. This helps me to stay focused but still be able to tell when someone needs my attention.
headphones are a great way of indicating to everyone else that they need a good reason to disturb you.
