Found this on instagram today, looks hilarious. I've been thinking of starting a sneaker sketch a day regimen just for fun, maybe blowing 25 bucks on a fancy sketchbook will provide some extra motivation..... underlay's are facing the wrong way though.

Re: Resolving subjectivity in design's styling

Re: Good design you love to have

moi - great rant Having freshly ground salt and pepper is awesome, and I love that I can spin this thing in my hands and switch from one to the other. The knobs are cheap and flimsy but I'm pretty gentle with my stuff so I'm not worried. http://www.sirtified.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9...

Re: Kickstarter changes the game

We're often asked to make visualizations of concepts to gauge interest from consumers and retailers, before we've spent the time figuring out all the functional details. Some of our marketers still don't understand how we could make a render without a finished solution. It gets annoying. We had one ...

Sweet stuff. The patterned ice cream scoop is definitely one of those times I just said, "Ahhhh why didn't I think of that." I want to see a pic of the Ice Cream though.

I've used transparent spray that comes in these small cans. It's at the hobby stores not hardware stores. That duplicolor metal cast looks awesome, I'm going to try that out.

Re: My First Focus Group

Anytime we talk to consumers my goal is to understand whats at the root of their comments. So I don't stress if their comments have a negative connotation, as long as their perception is what we were aiming for. i.e. We showed some new product to our extreme users in a trade show environment. They c...

Very nice, I loved when he moved the parts of the girls face to represent compromises in the design process. Very applicable to my work life lately.
