I tried a bit of a different approach. Instead of a theft proof bike, I thought it might be interesting to think about a bike no one would steal. The below concept is a simple fixed gear bike. The frame is molded out of ABS plastic. Cities would by the bikes in bulk and distribute them to residents. Residents could customize them if they wanted to with paint, would in general leave them stock and leave them all around the city. Any resident could pick up any bike and ride it to a destination and simply leave it.
This is a bit more socialist than I usually like to be, but I wanted to spend the hour drawing a cool fixed gear bike…
