Can IED Turin be the world's best for transportation design?

What is the international reputation of the IED transportation design program?
Is it worth the money?
What is the deal with the fact that no degree is offered?
I am an American thinking about attending IED for transportation design. It interests me because it’s only a three year program and not that expensive.
The brochure says “trying to be the world’s best in transportation design.”
Heard they have a new campus; what difference does that make?
What kind of job would one expect to get after graduating?
So many questions!!!

Italian dreams indeed.

I checked out some of the senior thesis project from IED on Car Design News, not that impresive, not bad, but far from the best. Check them out at this link http://www.cardesignnews.com/news/2002/021113ied-honda/

If I where you I would give http://www.cardesignnews.com/ a long look. Link to all of the schools with Trans programs in the directory section. Most good schools post their thesis presentations in the News pages… comb through the archives to see all of the students’ work, not just the class stars http://www.cardesignnews.com/news/2003/index.html

I studied in IED MADRID ,but I dont think they are World Best it´s not a serious intitution the mentality of the school is very capitalism .The diploma is not recognized .My Advice 4 u spend better more money on a school with reputation such as Pfortzheim ,CCS ,Art Center etc.If u get into one of this a work is garanted 4 u.

Hi there, I’m just curious, what do you do now? and what made you come to this conclussion? It would be interesting to hear a bit more about what made you choose IED in the first place and what would you have choosen instead today and why?

Take care…
