Recently I was being contacted by this mother looking for Mandarin ācompanionsā for her 2.5 yr old daughter. She said her daughter has been learning the language and enjoys it. To me it really sounds scary. I grew up in a dual language environment but I had my mother tongue foundation built first. I cannot imaging the confusion that will arise from learning multiple languages from a young age. To me thatās not a good thing to do.
