Well a year certainly changes things - after I lost hearing in one ear due to a rare tumor about 6 months ago, our son was born in January and as of yesterday we just found out (or rather confirmed) that he has moderate hearing loss (still an unknown cause since there were no obvious complications or illnesses during pregnancy) so we’ll be getting him hearing aids almost immediately while I have to get fitted next week.
This will be an interesting father/son bonding experience.
