Thank you for all the tips! This is wonderful. I have been trying to do this myself. I however am a Design Engineer and desire to be an ID designer. I don’t have the formal degree of BA, MA or BFA in Industrial Design, however, I have taken the same courses as a typical BFA ID design degree. I have a BA in Design and Business management and an AAS Degree in Engineering, Drafting and Design. It is very hard to explain to employers that I’m just as qualified. It is also hard to show that you are qualified on one tiny piece of paper. Any tips for showing how qualified and skilled you are on a resume even though your degree dose not speak for yourself?
I’m currently working on doing my own projects, just like if I was a student and adding them to my portfolio.
