Newly Released Work (All Product Types)

Couple of 3d printers I worked on. Pretty happy with how they have turned out. Launched on Kickstarter recently.

Oh, totally see the use cases for it!

A modern version of the 70’s Panapet radio, meant to be carried around with the chain-

or this Toot-A-Loop (you could wear on your wrist like a bracelet)-

LOL, I have that Parapet on a shelf in the studio. Sometimes it works its way into photo shoots

We definitely are inspired by a lot of those fun vintage portable transistor radios for BOOM. It is nice to just have a fun little object sometimes.

Awesome! love these. What do the parts look like coming out of it? Give us some more info!

That little Boom speaker is a little bit more ‘cool’ than this sort of arrangement. Hiking backpack with carabiner-dangling humungoid speaker and a mountain bike = fail.

well, that is what we were thinking  I wouldn’t want to fall on that thing.

Yeah pretty good quality. We have the original R1 printer here and its not the prettiest thing but prints well. There are some incremental improvements with the new models and a lot of IoT integration as would be expected. New app and Wi-fi etc.

not a product, but highlighting our products, my team and I have just redesigned both our Definitive and Polk websites. This was the first time we designed our sites from the ground up with our internal team. It was a lot bigger feat than I expected to be hones. We anted to add some new functionality like a configurator to help you build your ultimate home theater. Still working out some bugs and fixes, but after months of working on it, they are live.

This is the complimentary Polk page.

I’m really proud of this page in particular… yes that is me sketching at the top of the page

This is the first product I worked on while interning at Enlisted Design, and first product to come out that I’ve done.

A lot of challenges with this one, mostly because there’s a butt-load of increased functionality compared to the previous generation. But here it is, the Netgear Arlo Pro.

Nice! It’s great to see such emphasis on design, process and the team behind the product. LOVE that font that says ‘Great American Sound’!!

Another game hits the shelves! This is one of the most NDA’d products I’ve ever worked on. The images don’t really do the product itself much justice, but there are a couple of nice material finish / colour details on the movers with metallic sprays with gradients, and trans ABS wedges, honest! Gameplay remains true to original TP though .

These recently launched for the 2017 Lacrosse season - these are technically softgoods but that thread seems dead.

Nice work Jim! Looking forward to seeing what comes out of the new gig!

I recently joined Osterhout Design group to bring some ID love to their glasses. I started a few months ago and came in very late on the R8 project. Some of the coolest technology i have ever worked with and think the design is headed in the right direction. Excited to show some accessory pieces I designed tomorrow at CES. Hoping to push the design language much further in 2017.

Aweome! Congrats. That is a very cool category to work in at the intersection of tech and lifestyle.

Thanks! Yeah really excited to be here for a new opportunity. Excited for 2017!

Here is a new line of HiFi car audio I did the initial theme sketch for. Ken Chae on my team really took it the rest of the long way to production. We vastly improved it together from the initial sketch along the way I think. I particularly like the white version which is supposed to be for boats but it would look pretty cool in the right car. The final product was launched last week at CES. The Polk MM1.

My latest and nearly last commercial furniture design for my current employer.

After 4 years in commercial furniture, I’m moving on to a small branding studio to do exhibition/signage and focus on more sustainable, small production, locally sourced timber furniture in my home workshop.

Have one more design coming after this, but it will be released after my departure.

The chair was designed to be as simple as possible to produce while meeting the needs for the increased demand for aged care suitable products. With an integrated leg/arm, the incidences of broken arms in aged care will be drastically reduced compared to bolt-on arms. The chair has also been designed to fit aesthetically in a waiting area, hospitality or home environment.

The table is comprised of two end A-frames which are connected via the rails using knock-down connectors. This means a 3.6m table can be easily transported through tight entryways and will also be a safer solution for our installers.
