Me too! That’s really cool, thanks for sharing that Gebs… and I don’t think I even used the word ‘bollocks’ in the proper British way.
Found this today and can’t get enough of it, it’s very arty but there must be some awesome engineering behind it.

British Pathé newsreel on the opening of Legoland in 1968. Everything about this video is perfect:

Vespa have a great history website:
They went wonderfully crazy in the 1950’s:
That was sweet!
I just saw that ad at the movies last night. It’s hard to explain why we do what we do, all the effort that goes into every decision we make when bringing an idea to life. Made me proud to be a designer.
I’ve fallen down a LEGO internet rabbit hole (BTTF sets announced).
The only non-LEGO part is the bit:
quite accurate considering how much slop is in LEGO gear cogs.
Not a video short, and not directly design related, but I found it inspirational and applicable nonetheless:
without exaggeration or hyperbole, the best video I’ve ever seen times a million.
“Riding the Booster”- camera placed on shuttle booster (with 5.1 sound, I recommend to listen with headphones) from launch to splashdown, too many highlights:
Wil Wheaton on why it’s awesome to be a nerd. I concur.
This is directed to a mother who asked him for advice for her infant daughter. Good one for the nerd parents among us here
A pretty cool video about glass blowing neon signs I stumbled upon whilst on the quirky website. It seems a bit of a dying art nowadays!
Not all the videos are necessarily design shorts, but I’ve been enjoying the Artisan Videos Subreddit.
