NEW KICKS :: latest purchase

Looking good Chevis!

I’m really stoked with my new kicks! I found them as a great deal over the weekend in Hong Kong. Had to lose the wings though, they were too much even for me.

not a bad look. Most of the really nice shoes from allen edmunds or even cole haan can be replicated at the low 100’s, or below 100’s on sale like you have found. they wont last 15 years with care and sole replacement etc like the expensive ones, but if you are like me i dont usually want my shoes to last that long, i get bored with some after a few years at most, haha. for the most part the shoes at the lower price will just use lower grade leather, cheaper lining material or if its under $100 regular price probably synthetic leather, and they sole is probably just cemented on instead of true welt construction. but its achieving the ‘look’ quite accurately. just try not to buy super cheap, haha, well known, fair priced brands are usually good employers to footwear designers vs cheap bargain brands

taht being said i do have some really nice traditionally made shoes, although i dont usually have to pay for them :stuck_out_tongue:

Damn, I’ve always wanted a pair of Jeremy Scotts. Just for the statement factor.

I always recommend these to friends when they’re looking for a nice pair of dress shoes.
Nice shape, decent upper and color. For $60 you’d be hard pressed to find a better shoe.

Awesome, those will look lethal with crampons! Where are you going to try those out?

Hope so man! I’m taking a 12 day Denali Prep Course in AK this summer

Just got these last night, waited till winter was done…

Got a pair of Roshe awhile back. Loved them so much I went out and got a few more pairs recently.

Was waiting for these to come out in all black. But couldn’t pass them up at the employee store.

Expensive shoe. Was a gift.

Doc Martens brogue boots, New Balance x Hershal 710s & Grenson brogue boots.

Love those chevisw, got these yesterday they’re converse

I am really fond of The North Face’s Back To Berkley collection. These casual hikers are a really technical boot, but get lots of looks like a sneaker. They thing I like most is the fact that they’re really lightweight, but provide unreal support and protection. I have an insulated pair and wouldn’t hesitate to snatch up as many more as I can.

I did a review up on my website here if anyone is interested… http://milkywilky.com/post/47720081114/tnfboot

There was a massive sale on Wolverine 1000 miles a few days ago. So I picked up a couple of pairs.

Trying to decide between wingtips or not. Leaning towards plain toe and sticking with dress shoes for wings.

Plain toed ones look awesome, fantastic color and silhouette.

Both! Love the wingtips, but plain toe is super classy.

Broke these puppies out and hands down the best “summer” shoe I have owned…Ultra light, breathable, and not bad looking.

Got them cheap as chips in tokyo, for running around on the hills. So far surpassed my expectations. Grips well uphill and spares my forefoot downhill.

I had the same struggle with thesboots. I went with plain toe after my wife told me I don’t wear nice enough pants to pull off wingtips.

I miss those boots – unfortunately the leather sole wore out in two months. I know they are meant to be resoled, but I have never have any leather-bottomed shoe wear out nearly that fast. Back the manufacturer they went.
