Thanks Almo, very interesting. I liked “you absolutely have to ship so people can show what they worked on”.

Here’s a not so short but very in depth manufacturing of a carabiner. There’s something about them and climbing equipment in general that is inherently cool.

Sorry it can not be embedded, here’s the link http://dmmclimbing.com/news/2013/01/dmm-factory-tour-vid/

Short interview with Hartmut Esslinger, founder of frog. So proud to have spent time with such a talented team and to have spent some time with Hartmut himself. Being a frog definitely changed me as a designer.

Clever stuff to be sure, but I’m not sure the driving public needs (or can handle) another innovation to confuse them; this time in the form of a psychedelic light show billed as a Dynamic Light Function. Most have a difficult time knowing when to use their auxiliary driving lights in a courteous manner.

Now, if pertinent safety information could be conveyed to the following motorist, I might be convinced.

Scott Wilson is superhuman

I listen carefully to Scott Wilson talks and all he said is true. He is truly amazing.
Thanks Travis for posting such talk like that.

Thanks, that was terrific. I’m already a big fan, but I was blown away by his ability to continuously identify opportunities and quickly turn around with groundbreaking product. The man must dream in design.

Definitely worth the time to watch.

I find him and his career immensely inspiring… he’s got the talent and the bollocks to do some amazing work

Travis, Scott liked your bollocks comment. Man I love twitter.

Me too! That’s really cool, thanks for sharing that Gebs… and I don’t think I even used the word ‘bollocks’ in the proper British way.

Found this today and can’t get enough of it, it’s very arty but there must be some awesome engineering behind it.
