My fav old shoes.

Hi everyone,

Currently am working as a visiting faculty at International School of Design, Pune until I get my work permit and visa for the Netherlands. Until then I would be dealing with variant courses for the foundation students here.

So been doing quite a lot of lectures on markers and how it could be used as a tool to ideate and not just to render. Sharing few sketches from the big library churned out in the last 2 weeks.

Some doodles from the mornings meeting.

@viperoshanali
Phones with buttons, oh how i miss the old days~
Great looking sketches btw.

@sain
A corgi and a dachshund? Yours?

Corgi is spot on. Other was a suppose to be a fat beagle. Beagle was a friends old dog. I’m on a Corgi kick right now and want to get one in the near future.

@Viperoshanali - Great work! Checked out your websites too, amazing stuff, best of luck in the Netherlands. Also, what kind of camera are you using?

Practicing marker work, took an example from the book ‘Design Sketching: Drawing Techniques for Product Designers’ (Or similar).

just recently finished secondary school and going to start my first year in product design very soon so quite excited. anyways, as you could see these sketches aren’t great, very sketchy looking. as an 18 year old i feel that my skill is lacking also i didn’t go to any skill based classes so my experience is considered very less although i aim to do a sketch everyday . so it would be appreciated if someone here give me some input or point me to the right direction :slight_smile:

took me about one hour to get each done so it’s not exactly fast.

note, that in the first sketch i used a bit of marker and colour pencil for rendering. these are zebra branded markers probably not a type people here recommend for rendering but it was cheap to pick up at the stores so I brought a few. will invest in some higher quality ones as i get into university. so recommendations would be cool…

viperoshanali you’ve been inspiring me to do more with markers :smiley:

Nice Holix!

A lot of nice sketching guys.

I started with sketching watches. I hope it helps to improve my ellipses, but first need to get used to the proportions.

wrappin up the day…

We need to get some character entries for this !HDC rolling…

Here are a few things, camera phone pics…

more camera phone action.

More markers! (And thanks Yo!)
