"Enamel" coating

Is it possible to get a finish on a molded plastic part that approaches the hard and smooth look of enamel jewelry? All I’ve been able to come up with is a quality paint and clear coat, but having two spray operations and two curing sessions would be time and labor intensive (read: expensive.) Does anyone know of a better solution?

Cheers,
Jeff

IMD in mold decoration films will give a layer of gloss over a solid paint surface and are co-injected with the part.
